Private Couples Massage Class - Our most popular
This class is the same as our Couples Healing Massage Class, without the group! All the focus is on you and your partner as we work with you to bring your massage skills to the next level. At the end of this class you and your partner will feel like pros!
This class will include all information to perform massage at home, oils, lotions, and a free gift. This is a two hour class.
Infant Massage Instruction
You are now preparing for the birth of your baby and need to learn how to have a healthy bonding and attachment experience that will last a lifetime with your infant. We teach from Vimala McClure’s book and the International Association of Infant Massage.
Which will help with:
Promotion of bonding, promote secure attachment, verbal/nonverbal communication and feeling respected.
Stimulate circulatory system, digestive system, hormonal system, immune system, nervous system, respiratory system, vestibular system, language development, and growth.
Relief can help with gas and colic, constipation and elimination, excess mucus, growing pains, muscular tension, and teething discomfort.
Relaxation may be demonstrated by improved sleep patterns, helps normalized muscle tone, increased flexibility, regulation of behavioral states, being calm, and improved ability to calm oneself.
Trauma Release Exercise (TRE):
TRE is a scientifically proven process that reestablishes a person’s equilibrium, stabilizes their life and returns them to an emotionally heathy state of well-being. TRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. TRE is based on the fundamental idea, backed by recent scientific research, that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. TRE’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. After doing TRE, many people report feelings of peace and well-being.
This is a 2-hour class, giving both essential information and a physical exploration of the actual exercise process to the client.Note: It is recommended that the client(s) repeat the exercises within the first ten days of the first exercise regimen in order to maximize the benefit of the program, therefore, I recommend a second class to reap the greatest benefit of this extraordinary process. The second class is 1-hour.
Tai Chi Chuan (Supreme Ultimate Exercise or Skill):
Tai Chi Chuan is a beautiful and ancient Chinese martial art that is now used for stress reduction which integrates circular physical postures and soft, gentle and rhythmic movements, breathing techniques and focused mindful attention and intention that helps individuals open up the body's meridians, reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, enhance immune system, improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive systems in the body, and of course, builds one’s chi, or life force, giving one a feeling of youthful vitality and greater resistance to illness.
*This is a progressive class which teaches different levels as the class proceeds, but allows for new students to join at any time in this process.
Introduction to Mindfulness and Stress Reduction:
Having its roots in Buddhism, Mindfulness and Stress Reduction is the quintessential method that has been taught to tens of thousands in order to better manage and reduce stress, trauma and tension in a secular, non-religious fashion. Founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR teaches one how to cultivate mindfulness first through formal meditation, and then ultimately through engaging in everyday activities in a mindful and heartfelt manner, allowing the practitioner to be fully present in each and every moment whether the moment is positive, negative or neutral.
The many techniques that are taught include four forms of Sitting Meditation, Walking Meditation, Eating Meditation, Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong, the 5 Tibetans Yoga, and Deep Relaxation.
*This is initially taught as an individual introductory 1-hour class, giving two brief guided meditations for the client to explore, or as successive classes to go deeper into the healing aspects of Mindfulness and Stress Reduction which provides the client many tools to cultivate a stable and strong foundation from which to build upon.
